Hemen sartzen dena bere etxean da / You who enter here are home

"Hemen sartzen dena bere etxean da" / "You who enter here are home". Bayonne (France).

With Xabier Anunzibai.

Last week I was in Bayonne to paint a facade in collaboration with my friend Xabier for PDVfestival. At first we visited the Basque Museum to get some ideas and inspiration.
There we found a lot of interesting stuff and finally decided to work with old poster's aesthetics. One of the things that caught our attention was an old wellcoming phrase carved on wood "hemen sartzen dena bere etchean da / whom enters here enters home ".
By transfer this sentence ment to be at the domestic sphere to the public space, we understand than the message of welcoming attitude for everyone regardless its origins gets stronger.

Hemen sartzen dena bere etxean da / You who enter here are home Hemen sartzen dena bere etxean da / You who enter here are home
